Little Loves Oasis Suck Pads Review {+ Giveaway}

Have I mentioned I love babywearing

My favourite way to wear 6 month old Samuel right now is in my Tula. I can get him in it quickly when he wants up, and out quickly when he changes his mind and wants down.

The only problem is that he's currently in a stage where he tries to eat EVERYTHING.

I used a different soft-structured carrier, an Ergo Baby (and check back for an Ergo vs. Tula post!) when Leah was a baby but never had the problem of her chewing or sucking on the straps. Probably because Samuel started teething 8ish months before her!

Anyways, I knew I needed something to protect my carrier. After all, a Tula is an investment!!

On my hunt for suck pads, I found Little Loves Oasis

The artist behind Little Loves Oasis is Heather, a Mom of two who loves spending family time with her boys and loyal beagle. She has a degree and part time career in health sciences, but started her small business because she loves sewing and being creative. It definitely keeps her busy when her kids are sleeping!

Heather made my custom suck pads in record time and I absolutely love them. She had a lot of prints to choose from and the anchor print was perfect to go with my anchors.

They're made from a 100% cotton print and are backed with two layers of white flannel. I also chose to have ribbon tags added for some flair.

Samuel is a big drooler and the two layers of flannel really do absorb! They're SO soft!

The snaps hold great, and the pads are large enough to fit nicely around the straps of the carrier, but small enough that they don't move around at all.

Daddy volunteered (or was voluntold?) to babywear for this photoshoot - love it!

I had a hard time getting a shot of Samuel sucking on them because he's such a ham for the camera.

SO cute, right?!

Heather is generously giving away a $15 store credit to Little Loves Oasis - the price of suck pads!

Of course, you can use the credit for whatever you want in her shop! She makes lots of other great products, including bandana bibs, organic teething rings and toy leashes, reach straps, headbands, and scarves.

  9. My youngest hasn't had issues too much with chewing on the straps of our Ergo. Most of the time she was happy enough to chew on her fingers instead.

  10. I rarely baby wore (?) with my daughter when she was little because I was horrified I'd do something wrong and she'd drop. I only wore her when we hiked and even then, my hands were always constantly supporting her neck and bottom. I've heard they've come a long way since then, and that Tula is definitely one of the best. I will definitely be pinning and checking out Little Loves Oasis once it;s time to (hopefully) start shopping for baby #2!

  14. Great idea. When my son was little, I had a Baby Bjorn and he was small so it was easy to wear. It's amazing how many new products have come out since my kids were babies!
