Leah Mia's Clips & Accessories {+ Giveaway}

Hello!

So things have been a little slow around the blog... here's why!

In December, I made and sold girls' hair accessories as a little fundraiser to raise money for my Angel Tree child, Temple

I was so thankful for friends and family who supported me, and was surprised to be supported by strangers too. I loved creating and was encouraged to make a business out of it... so here we are!

In January 2016, Leah Mia's Clips & Accessories was born.

I started with just clips and bows, but now make headbands, mitten clips, pacifier clips and more!

Temple needs a Family for Christmas!

This year, I am a Christmas warrior for a little girl named "Temple" for the Angel Tree Initiative with Reece's Rainbow. In recent blog posts, I have featured families who are adopting children profiled on Reece's Rainbow.

Reece's Rainbow's mission is to advocate and find families for orphans with Down syndrome and other special needs by raising funds for adoption grants and promoting awareness through an online community, media communications, and other events.

Temple is listed on Reece's Rainbow, but  - unlike the other children I have featured - she does not yet have a forever family coming for her.

There are many families who would love to adopt from overseas, but the high cost can be overwhelming. Temple has a page set up for her where funds can be donated towards the cost of her adoption. The money raised during and after Angel Tree will stay with Temple and help a family to bring her home!

Mickey Mouse Munch

Last weekend, we celebrated my little ones turning 1 and 3 years old. It was a joint birthday party because their birthdays are only 10 days apart.

Because we have a boy and a girl, I thought what better theme than Mickey and Minnie!

I'm VERY into theme when I plan parties, so of course everything had to be Mickey or Minnie.

This Mickey Munch was ridiculously easy to make but looked great and fit right into the theme.

Welcome to Allergic Living

"Yep, it's positive for peanuts."

"Oh, okay," I thought, as I sat holding my 11-month-old, while the allergist checked his arm where she had administered the scratch test. "My baby is allergic to peanuts."

Wait... what???

My mind flashed back to to weeks earlier, when Samuel had broken out in a pretty bad rash after eating peanut butter spread on a rice cake.

Easy Paper Pumpkins

I'm having so much fun decorating for fall this year!

If you remember, at Easter I made paper egg ornaments to go on my Easter Egg tree. They were easy and turned out pretty cute; so for fall I thought why not make pumpkins!
